Visual programming.
Educational Use
Students use Scratch to learn the principles of programming and computational thinking. They can use it to create interactive projects and basic animations, and many robotics kits can be programmed with Scratch. Downloading the offline editor allows students most of the functionality of the online editor without the sharing capabilities. Sharing of projects online is possible if the student has a Scratch login and is signed in.
Learn More
To learn more, find activities, class plans and tutorials and set up a teacher account, go to the Scratch home page.
